September Snaps ...

Good Morning!
Today I thought I'd share a few snaps I managed to get of some garden visitors this month.
There would've been more if I'd remembered to have my camera on me each time I went outside lol

I admit this isn't the best shot due to the light but the Robin doesn't visit our garden too often, it spends most of it's time in next doors so when he does pop over I try to get any snap that I can!

The final visitor is with mixed emotion, the Sparrowhawk is absolutely beautiful to look at and watch but I can't bear it if he manages to catch any of the smaller birds that visit my garden ... when it happens I'd rather not be a witness!

Thanks for taking a look, enjoy your weekends!

A Rainy Day in Whitby ...

Good Morning!
Today I thought I would share with you some photo's of yesterdays visit to Whitby.
Despite the fact it chucked it down for the majority of the visit and I was walking with puddles in my shoes from literally as soon as we got out the car (helpfully given a head start by an extremely deep sneaky puddle) I managed to get a few snaps of the place.

An extremely photogenic snail that was happy to pose for the camera ...

The opposite view to the photo's featured above ...

We were also parked near the Railway so of course we had to get a photo of the train that greeted us on arrival!

Thanks for taking a look!

Some Garden Visitors ...

Good Morning!
Over the past week or so I have managed to get a few snaps of the garden birds that visit my garden.
The first up was a very fluffy Greenfinch, we usually have a few of them visiting our feeder or sitting on the Apple tree.

Even in windy weather there's always time for a quick snooze ...

Next up is a fluffy Sparrow sitting on a branch behind the Greenhouse ...

Lastly is a Thrush which has only been visiting for the month, it always enjoys picking up the fallen seeds and collecting ants ... not forgetting having a bath in the bowl of drinking water left for all of the visitors. It was post bath time that I managed to take the photo's shown below ...

We're also treated to visits from Goldfinches, House Martins, Starlings and of course ... Pigeons!

Thanks for taking a look,

Bempton Cliffs ...

Good Afternoon!
It's been 2 months since I last updated this blog, goes to show how much work gets in the way of being able to venture out with the camera!
Luckily I had last weekend off so on Sunday I visited RSPB Bempton Cliffs to try and see the Puffins, I wasn't disappointed. Here are my favourite snaps from the mornings visit.

Razorbill

Razorbill & Guillemot

Of course the main attraction of the day, Puffins!

Of course the plants person in me couldn't resist taking a snap of the flowers growing along the cliff top ...

Followed by some photo's of Gannet's

These were actually building a nest close by the top so both me and my Father managed to get some lovely views of the birds close up, getting a picture of them in flight however proved rather tricky!

Finally here is a snap of the cliffs, what started off as a cloudy day ended with bright sunshine!

Thanks for taking a look!
